The online travel magazine Traveler’s Digest has picked its three favourite naturist resorts in the Americas. They are:
Hedonism II, Jamaica
“If simply lounging around ‘au naturel’ isn’t enough, Hedonism II takes nudism up a notch. Unlike most nudists, people who travel to one of the Hedonism resorts are exhibitionists who want to take it into the sexual realm.
Hedonism II in Negril is considered to be the best of the Hedonism resorts, all of which are located in Jamaica. While the resort can feel a bit dated, what it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in its party atmosphere. Obviously, this resort isn’t for everyone, but many uninhibited travellers go back year after year to let go and act outrageous. In that respect, it can be a real fantasy vacation.”
Hidden Beach Resort, Mexico
“Hidden Beach Resort, on the Mayan Riviera, is one of the most luxurious nudist destinations in the world. It’s located on Kantenah Bay about 1-1/2 hours from Cancun. Hidden Beach is for adults only - both couples and singles - and is clothing-optional. Nudism is strongly encouraged though, even at meals. Visitors have found it to be very relaxing, laid back and most say, not sexually charged.
Guests are greeted upon arrival with a glass of champagne and stay in one of 42 beachfront suites overlooking the Caribbean, complete with a private two-person Jacuzzi. The resort is gated and surrounded by walls within a mangrove jungle and no one is allowed to take photos or videos. Perfect for a relaxing vacation.”
Sea Mountain Inn, California
“Sea Mountain is a naturist spa, with a natural mineral water whirlpool, surrounded by mountains and just a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles. The weather is Southern Californian perfect and the accommodations are luxurious. This resort has won a number of accolades from ‘most erotic hotel’ to ‘best celebrity spa.’
Sea Mountain is also famous for its couples massages and for its 24-hour night club with nude and lingerie dancing. In other words, this is definitely not a quiet retreat for purist naturists. However, with its great spa amenities, it is one of the most luxurious nudist destinations in the world.
Naturism is not mandatory and the resort is clothing optional. Single men need not apply however - Sea Mountain caters solely to women and couples.
